Phoenix Widowers Fellowship at
Ali's Brasserie again

A note from Leanne on the curry night says it all.

'Our Outlook Bereavement Curry on Tuesday night teamed with members from WayUp, Stepping Stones & Phoenix was a fun filled evening with friends, Christmas crackers, poppadoms & a few antics!

A year since our first curry night it was very humbling to see how our Outlook friends have formed firm friendships. Our evening bereavement events give those touched by tragedy the option to laugh or cry, a place to share stories & not feel guilty for having fun. A place where everyone feels the same.

Ali's Brasserie served a wonderful meal & the service was excellent for almost 50 people. Outlook's raffle raised 50 which was donated to Phoenix Bereavement Group for men. I am truly grateful for the help of Jim, Mike & Max, who even with their own bereavement have helped new members feel welcome & introduced them to new friends.

The success of Outlook is clear to see; 'the bereaved helping the bereaved' has changed peoples lives. Many have told me it is sad but through their loss & tragedy they have met the most amazing friends. For me working as part of the Tapper's team, I am blessed to meet such lovely, courageous people. The courage it must take to come to a bereavement event is tremendous, it makes me very proud of every one of them.'
